Kazuno is a Japanese bassist best known for having been the original bassist for Mana's solo project Moi dix Mois from 2002 until his departure in 2005 following the departure of vocalist Juka. After his departure, he continued as a support bassist for some artists in the scene. In 2017 he tried to return to music with PROJECT TO EVIL alongside with drummer Tohru, but this did not last long and he has kept low profile since then.
Biography[]
He was born on October 17 in Hiroshima, although information about his life is still scarce, beyond the fact that his love for playing bass developed at an early age.
It is known that a few years before joining Moi dix Mois, he worked as a salesperson at the Moi-Meme-Moitie store in Tokyo, which may have greatly influenced Mana's choice of him as his first bassist.
After the sudden departure of vocalist Juka from Moi dix Mois after the Invite to Immorality tour in Europe in mid-2005, he and drummer Tohru decided to leave the project as well.
After this event, Kazuno continued to meet with his former project mates and even in 2007 he served as support bassist for Juka's solo project, as well as the solo project of the remembered X Japan bassist, HEATH.
Over the years he continued to play as a support bassist, although his presence in the public eye was diminishing as well as the information about him, until in 2013 he decided to open a blog which was active for a couple of years before it was closed.
Also in 2013, after almost 8 years of his departure, he reunited again with Moi dix Mois to celebrate the tenth anniversary of the project in a live on March 20, 2013. This event was also attended by Juka and Tohru on vocals and drums respectively.
Until 2017, it was heard about him again after it was announced that he would be involved in a new project with drummer Tohru called PROJECT TO EVIL, but sadly this did not last long. In September 9, 2018, both were seen attending Deep Sanctuary VI and this would have been Kazuno's last public appearance for 6 years.
On May 10, 2024, Kazuno appeared again after 6 years without having any news about him, this time as a special guest at the live to celebrate the 44th birthday of Schwarz Stein's keyboardist Hora, who days before met with him to invite him to said event.
On October 27 of the same year, Kazuno performed at a memorial event for Heath to commemorate his solo career alongside other guests artists.
